Winter at the North Pole

If brighter days lay ahead,
I want to run and bow my head.
If tomorrow I'll find you at the dome,
Waiting next to the Christmas tree,
Wishing to meet a better me,
I want to run from home,
Hide in snow, until all feelings freeze.
Far away, at the North Pole,
There is no warming breeze.

Unwavering is my love for you,
Unflinching is the iceberg inside -
Winter is strong, days are dark-blue.
I die alone, no one at my bedside.
